چکیده
Context. Physical and dynamical stellar properties are essential knowledge for understanding the structure, formation, evolution of our Galaxy. Aims. We produced a uniformly derived all-sky catalog astrophysical parameters (APs; age, mass, temperature, bolometric luminosity, distance, dust extinction) to provide insight into physical Milky Way stars. Methods. Exploiting power multiwavelength multi-survey observations from Gaia DR2 parallaxes integrated photometry along with 2MASS AllWISE photometry, we introduce APs, including extinction ( A 0 ) average grain size R line sight, 123 076 271 In contrast previous works, do not use Galactic model as prior in analysis. Results. validate results against other work literature (e.g., benchmark stars, interferometry, Bayestar, StarHorse). The limited optical information photometric bands or lack ultraviolet spectroscopic renders chemistry inference prior-dominated. demonstrate that bring sufficient leverage explore detailed structures interstellar medium Way. Galactic Parameters from Whole Sky 2MASS Star Counts
The whole sky differential star counts (DSC) with 1 degree resolution are retrieved from 2MASS online data service. Galaxy with double exponential thin and thick disks and a single power law luminosity function (LF) is used to interpret the 2MASS data. The slope of the DSC appears roughly isotropic over the whole sky, the average value is ∼ 0.32, which corresponds to a power law index ∼ 1.8 of ...
متن کاملA general method of estimating stellar astrophysical parameters from photometry
Context. Applying photometric catalogs to the study of the population of the Galaxy is obscured by the impossibility to map directly photometric colors into astrophysical parameters. Most of all-sky catalogs like ASCC or 2MASS are based upon broad-band photometric systems, and the use of broad photometric bands complicates the determination of the astrophysical parameters for individual stars. ...
متن کاملStructural Parameters of Stellar Disks from 2MASS Images of Edge-on Galaxies
We present results of an analysis of the J, H, and Ks 2MASS images of 139 spiral edge-on galaxies selected from the Revised Flat Galaxies Catalog. The basic structural parameters scalelength (h), scaleheight (z0), and central surface brightness of the stellar disks (μ0) are determined for all selected galaxies in the NIR bands. The mean relative ratios of the scaleheights of the thin stellar di...
متن کاملProbing Supersymmetric Parameters With Astrophysical Observations
A wide range of techniques have been developed to search for particle dark matter, including direct detection, indirect detection, and collider searches. The prospects for the detection of neutralino dark matter is quite promising for each of these three very different methods. Looking ahead to a time in which these techniques have successfully detected neutralino dark matter, we explore the ab...
متن کاملAstrophysical Parameters of Galactic Open Clusters
We present a catalogue of astrophysical data of 520 Galactic open clusters. These are the clusters, for which at least three most probable members (18 on average) could be identified in the ASCC-2.5, a catalogue of stars based on the Tycho-2 observations from the Hipparcos mission. We applied homogeneous methods and algorithms to determine angular sizes of cluster cores and coronae, heliocentri...
